ESWC continues with 2011 event written by wihyra - 14.12.2010 |

Last July ESWC was reborn, after not being organized for a period of two years. The tournament returned to the city where it all started, Paris, and directly offered a total prize pool of more than $200.000. Today the next edition, ESWC 2011, has been announced.
The tournament will be held next year, but unlike the previous editions, ESWC 2011 will take place at the end of the year, instead of during the summer. The organizing committee has announced that the event will take place in France, but the exact location is still unknown.
The total prize purse for ESWC 2011 has been put on $220.000. Just like for the 2010 event, Games-Solution has assured that they will make use of a bank guaranty for the prize money, assuring winners of the pay-out.
It is currently unknown which game titles this money will be spread, as there is no game list available yet. Teams can sign up through the ESWC website already for qualifiers, where a list of the potential ESWC 2011 games has been listed.

ArcadioN replaces Sunde in mTw written by wihyra - 13.12.2010 |

After being out-performed by local rivals Full Gaming on two occasions over the past fortnight, WCG finalists mTw int have made a surprising change to their roster in order to get back on track.
Leaving the team is talisman Christoffer 'Sunde' Sunde, who over three years has picked up awards both for his individual performances as well as his involvement in mTw's successes, including a WCG victory. He will stay within mTw and play out the current EPS Nordic season.
Timm 'ArcadioN' Henriksen is the man replacing Sunde after helping Full Gaming pull off a string of impressive results, most notably picking up gold at DSRack #3.
ArcadioN has played with mTw before - at Arbalet Cup Europe 2009 - where he filled in for Sunde whilst he was travelling abroad. The team finished second at that event with ArcadioN playing a key role in pushing mTw through the first round of the lower bracket right through to the grand final.
Sunde broke down the situation on mymTw.com:
"For a long time, pretty much since Jonas (whimp) and Muhamed (mje) left the team, there has been a different vibe on the team. Personally we haven't gotten along very well lately - and with recent DSrack and Slaplive results, it was obvious something drastic had to be done. I have earlier considered the possibility of leaving the team because I didn't feel 'at home' anymore - I felt the team was splitted and I could not see any solution. This is without a doubt one of hardest things I've had to face, but at the same time it feels like somewhat of a relief."
On the prospect of retiring, Sunde continued:
"Whether or not I will quit playing CS I can't really give a straight answer to. Obviously I need to start looking for something else to do now, but my passion for CS will never die. I won't say I have any expectations, however if the right offer or opportunity presents itself I won't be shy to take it."
ArcadioN added:
"Wow. I'm very excited to get this opportunity, and play with one of the best teams in the world. I have very high expectations. The goal for this team should and will be to win every single tournament, and I hope we can fight our way to the top at the upcoming dreamhack. It's going to be a fun and thrilling experience, and I'm really looking forward to it!"
mTw int is now:
Timm 'ArcadioN' Henriksen
Alexander 'ave' Holdt
Oliver 'Minet' Ari Minet
Martin Alexander 'trace' Bang Heldt
Danny 'zonic' Sorensen
